6:30am start this morning. Got packed and dressed and had muffins and fresh fruit (pineapple!!!) for breakfast. Then we hopped into the vans and continued on our way. The van I was in today was substantially roulwdier but just as fun. We stopped in regina for lunch at swiss chalet and then carried on our way. We stopped for dinner at a tims in the middle of nowhere (about as canadian as it gets) and then drove a little bit more until we arrived in winnipeg. The drive today was a very nice mix of belting out power balads, reading, sleeping and pleasent conversations. We arrived in winnipeg shortly after 10:00pm local time and checked in and got setteled in out hostle at the university of winnipeg. We each had our own rooms and a real bed and shower! Nancy, Leslie, Melissa, Olivia and I played some sushi go and then went to bed. This whole day looked kind of like something out of the ‘Cars’ movie because everything is super flat and there isn’t anything but huge feilds and tiny gas stations. I had a very good day today and the sunset was beautiful. It was our longest continued stretch of driving today (over 1000km) and we kinda just drove right through saskatchewan without stopping but I mean, you look out your window for 5 mins at any given time and get the idea:)
